Laurent Blanc has admitted he is mulling over whether to throw injury worry Yann M’Vila into his France side for Friday’s game with Ukraine.

M’Vila sat out the 1-1 draw with England after turning his ankle ahead of the tournament. He has seemingly returned to fitness after looking sharp in training.

Alou Diarra filled in for M’Vila against England and put in a fine shift. With that in mind, Blanc has the dilemma of fielding an unchanged midfield or bringing the Rennes midfielder in for one of Diarra, Yohan Cabaye or Florent Malouda.

"I have a decision to make," Blanc said. "If I do make a change, it'll be to improve the team and not punishment for a poor performance.

"Yann's very important to the way we play. He's had an injury. He's had a long season. Maybe the break will have done him good. I'll weigh up the pros and cons."
