Spain are champions of Europe for the first time in 44 years after a 1-0 defeat of Germany in Vienna. A solitary goal from Fernando Torres in the 33rd minute was enough to hold off a German side who rarely looked like scoring as Spain had the majority of the chances in the second half in a game in which they were deserved winners.  [+]
