Clarence Seedorf keen on Premier League or Championship job

Former AC Milan boss Clarence Seedorf has told talkSPORT he is eager to resume his managerial career in the Premier League or Championship.

Netherlands legend Seedorf, 41, had a five-month spell in charge of Milan in 2014 before being dismissed and last year had a short spell with Shenzhen FC, who finished ninth in China's second tier.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has said he would now welcome the chance to follow in Jaap Stam's footsteps after his former Netherlands and Milan teammate led Reading to this season's Championship playoff final.

"I have been out of management for a season, but I would love to work in England, in the UK," he said. "I think it's one of the best places to be as a coach, so absolutely, I would consider any opportunity in the UK.

"I would be open [to] the Premier League, the Championship -- the level of both competitions is very high.

"Look at Jaap Stam, my good friend who has done a great job with Reading."

He said he held talks with "some teams in the Championship ... some others in the Premier League" last year and added: "I am looking forward to seeing some proposals with some nice projects that we can take into consideration."
