Queen of the South cruised through to the second round of the Ramsdens Cup with a convincing 4-0 win over Spartans.
The hosts took the lead after 12 minutes when Stephen McKenna met Christopher Mitchell's corner with a firm header.
Derek Lyle doubled the advantage five minutes later, poking home from close range after the visitors failed to clear Mitchell's initial free-kick.
Victory looked to be ensured after just 23 minutes when McKenna headed home his second after another fine delivery from Mitchell.
The Doonhamers were relentless after the break and Kevin Holt added a fourth on 68 minutes, heading home Lyle's pin-point delivery.
Gavin Reilly and Calum Antell both came close to adding further gloss while Kevin Motion spurned the visitors best chance in what was a dismal performance.
