Peterhead frustrated at Annan
Ross Smith endured a frustrating night as the woodwork prevented Peterhead from claiming victory at Annan as they had to settle for a goalless draw.
Smith saw his close-range header from David Cox's centre hit the bar after 61 minutes, just a minute after the latter also struck the frame of the goal with a shot from the edge of the area.
Smith then saw red eight minutes from time for foul and abusive language following a foul on David Hopkirk.
Annan goalkeeper Alex Mitchell also produced a fine save to deny James Redman as Peterhead dominated the second half.
It had been all Annan before the break, with Blue Toon keeper saving from Steven Sloan (twice) and Alistair Love.
Peterhead have now failed to score in 375 minutes and have managed just eight goals in 11 away games in the Third Division.
