Vale stun Stirling in Cup upset
Stirling's miserable season continued as they crashed out of the William Hill Scottish Cup in a 0-1 defeat to non-league Deveronvale.
The Binos sit rock bottom of the Third Division and were dominated throughout by their underdog visitors.
Left-back Kevin Adams had the first meaningful shot for Vale when he drilled the ball over the bar from 25 yards in the 19th minute.
Craig Cowie went close on two occasions after just missing the post and seeing his second chance blocked by Gary Thom.
The upset was on the cards just before the hour mark when Michele Lombardi's through ball found Cowie, who kept calm under pressure and placed the ball past the reaching hands of Samuel Filler in the Stirling goal.
Stirling pushed for a goal with half an hour to play but it was Deveronvale's day as they produced one of the upsets of the third round.
