Queens Park had to settle for a share of the spoils at home to Annan Athletic after a pulsating 2-2 draw at Hampden Park.
The home side, top of the Scottish Third Divison on goal difference, were behind after just 20 minutes when Annan midfielder Graeme Ramage finished smartly from six yards after a Scott Chaplain assist.
The visitors when close again a few minutes later with Ramage this time the architect with an outswinging corner, which Peter Watson fired wide from inside the penalty area.
Lawrence Shankland got the home side back on level terms before half-time, finishing clinically from a Sean Burns cross from the right in the 37th minute.
The 17-year-old grabbed his second of the game to give his side the lead just minutes after the interval, firing a right-footed strike into the top corner from 20 yards out.
But Micheal McGowan's left-footed strike from 18 yards denied Queens Park a fourth successive win in all competitions, as Annan picked up a deserved point.
