Andrew Barrowman bagged a brace as Dunfermline cruised into the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup with a 3-0 win at home to Montrose.
The First Division side opened the scoring in the fourth minute with Barrowman tucking home Jordan McMillan's pass from six yards - his third goal in five games.
They continued to dominate and came close to doubling their advantage in the 25th minute but Ryan Wallace's 20-yard effort struck the bar.
But Wallace was not to be denied a second time as four minutes before half-time he claimed his second goal in three matches, finishing from close range from Josh Falkingham's delivery.
Falkingham was again the provider as Dunfermline grabbed a third in the 64th minute, Barrowman with another close-range finish.
