Graham back in the groove
Raith overcame hosts Wick Academy 4-2 in the opening round of the Ramsdens Challenge Cup.
Striker Brian Graham, who scored 11 goals in 21 starts for Raith last term, opened the scoring six minutes before half-time after getting on the end of Grant Anderson's left-wing cross.
Wick levelled in the 51st minute when their new Polish striker Luckasz Geruzel drilled home a left-footed shot.
Raith got their noses back in front six minutes later when Joe Hamill's inswinging corner was headed in by defender Douglas Hill.
But Wick equalised for the second time in the 61st minute, David Allan turning the ball in from six yards.
However, Anderson restored Raith's advantage 10 minutes later and Pat Clark converted from close range in the 83rd minute.
