St Pat's sneak through
Substitute Stephen O'Flynn's extra-time strike against IBV in Iceland earned St Patrick's Athletic a place in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League on the away goals rule.
The Dublin side looked to be heading out of the competition when Matt Garner equalised the aggregate score just six minutes from the end of normal time and Eythor Birgisson extended IBV's lead on the night in the 98th minute.
But St Pat's, leading 1-0 from the first leg, grabbed their crucial away goal through O'Flynn one minute later to send them through on away goals despite a 2-1 defeat on the night.
