McNulty treble as Irvine hit for six
Marc McNulty's hat-trick inspired Livingston to a resounding 6-0 victory at Irvine Meadow in the William Hill Scottish Cup third round.
McNulty had Livingston ahead in the fifth minute with a powerful drive before Rory Boulding supplied the killer ball for the former to slot home again with 26 minutes played.
His treble was complete five minutes before the interval as he found the back of the net unopposed, Boulding then stunning the hosts with a low-flying effort from 12 yards immediately after the restart.
Kenny Deuchar tapped in a fifth following Iain Russell's cross to put the result well beyond doubt.
To their credit, Irvine remained resolute for much of the second half but were ultimately helpless to deny Robert Barr a 90th-minute tap-in after quick wing play from Russell.
