Luc Castaignos tapped home a late equaliser for Feyenoord to prevent their season from taking another turn for the worse against Roda JC.
The Rotterdammers have started the season very slowly with the obvious low point being the 10-0 hammering suffered at PSV Eindhoven two weeks ago.
The pressure remains on coach Mario Been and his position looked under serious threat when his side trailed to Mads Junker's 24th-minute goal - but Castaignos came to his rescue with an 87th-minute leveller.
Feyenoord were the better side in the early exchanges and should have gone ahead after six minutes. Tim De Cler whipped in a free-kick from the right but Stefan De Vrij somehow headed wide from six yards.
The hosts missed another chance a minute later when Georginio Wijnaldum turned sharply inside the area but then shot wide.
From their first attack, fifth-placed Roda went ahead.
Anouar Hadouir was the architect with a left-wing cross which was met by a fine leap and header from Junker which flew past Rob van Dijk in the Feyenoord goal.
Wijnaldum nearly grabbed a deserved equaliser before the break but his effort was superbly saved by Przemyslaw Tyton.
Roda started the second half on the front foot and had two chances to extend their lead.
Firstly, Pa-Modou Kah found himself through on goal but could only place his shot straight at Van Dijk before the home goalkeeper excelled himself again to deny Willem Janssen.
Feyenoord started to exert some pressure on the visitors' goal as the game went on.
They were unlucky not to equalise with 18 minutes to go - Rick van Haaren's free-kick hitting the post with the rebound from Wijnaldum deflected over the bar.
But they did score when another Van Haaren free-kick was parried by Tyton but only as far as Castaignos and he tapped into the empty net.
