FRISCO, Texas (AP) -- Brek Shea scored in the 71st minute to give FC Dallas a 1-0 victory over Chivas USA on Saturday night.

The win extended Dallas' unbeaten streak to 11 games during which it has outscored opponents 18-7 and won seven times.

Chivas USA remained last in the eight-team Western Conference.

Shea broke the scoreless tie with his fifth goal of the season. The 20-year-old midfielder received a lofting cross from the left flank by Jair Benitez, and used all of his 6-foot-3 frame to leap up and head the ball over veteran Chivas goalkeeper Zach Thornton.

Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman came up with two outstanding saves just minutes later to preserve the lead.
