Katsouranis launches the ball into the area. Easily headed clead. Mitroglou falls dramatically looking for a penalty, but the free-kick goes the other way.

Gekas does brilliantly to hold up the ball at the edge of the box and lays the ball off to Papadopoulos. However, the defenders pass to Samaras is well over the striker's head.

Almost a flare-up as Karagounis is fouled by Pekhart. The assistant referee quickly steps in to stop the situation developing.

More free-kicks as Czech Republic look to repel the Greek onslaught. They are finally coming strong now.

Czech Republic look to counter and it briefly looks as though Pilar has a crossing opportunity, having broken behind Torossidis. His second tough is atrocious, though, and the ball rolls for a goal-kick.

Much better from Greece as a cross from the right is close to picking out Gekas. Sivok rises high.

Ball from the left into the crowded area by Karagounis is good, but headed clear. From the other flank, Katsouranis looks to clip the ball back in. Overhit.

A good Greek attack wins a corner. Since conceding, the Czech defence is looking very nervy when called upon.

Maniatis is the latest to attempt something over ambitious, firing well wide from 25 yards.

The Czechs counter with Gebre Selassie again. Hubschman takes over and fires the ball wide to Pilar. The winger crosses left fooed, but overhit.

Greece come down the other end, but Samaras is shepherded for a goal-kick by Gebre Selassie. The Celtic striker does comically look to win a free-kick though.

Czech Republic pinning Greece in their own half now. Gebre Selassie once more proving an ever willing runner down the right flank. Having a very good game.

Cech will feel a bit better now. The Chelsea stopper comes confidently off his line to punch clear the free-kick.

Karagounis to deliver a free-kick into the area again from the right. Foul by Pilar this time.

GOAL Greece 1-2 Czech Republic Cech makes a howler!!! Petr Cech comes to claim a tame low ball into the area, but inexplicably fumbles the ball over his shoulder for Gekas to turn home.

However, within moments the attack comes to an end. Torossidis, who had the ball, pulling the shirt of Kolar.

Good spell here for Greece. They are stroking the ball around neatly now.

Cross into the box from Fortounis looks for Gekas, turned clear by the head of Kadlec.

Full-backs Jose Holebas and Vassilis Torossidis are having a nightmare for Greece. Torossidis struggling with the talented Pilar; Holebas caught hopelessly out of position for both goals.

This result would put a lot of pressure on hosts Poland later. They will be kicking themselves at not taking their chances against Greece.

The Czechs were out of the blocks quickly to soar into a 2-0 lead before Greece had time to settle into the game. They have improved, but they are making Czech Republic look very good.

HALF TIME Greece 0-2 Czech Republic.

Jirosek leads the Czech counter with a fine piece of skill to evade his marker, but the attack quickly fizzles out.

Holevas gets forward down the left and does better this time, picking out Fortounis who dallies over his shot.

Scrappy end to the half. The referee has been one of the most influential figures in the opening 45 minutes.

Salpingidis once more looks Greece's biggest threat. This time he swings a right-foot at a loose ball in the box. Blocked by Kadlec.

Jiracek has a shooting chance in the right channel. With Holevas out of position, he lines up a right-foot shot, but it is sliced high and wide into the crowd.

Czech Republic have a let off then and retain their two goal lead heading towards the break.

OFFSIDE! Best spell of the game for Greece and they have the ball in the net. Fotakis heads powerfully from Torossidis' cross from the right. Cech can't keep the ball out, but the linesman is flagging. Disallowed.

Czech Republic flood forward in a red wave, orchastrated by Rosicky. Pilar cannot create anything from the left and surrenders possession.

Torossidis The Greek right-back enters the book. Having a nightmare dealing with Pilar so far. This time he clatters the Czech wide-man from behind.

Holevas looks to push forward down the left for Greece, but is quickly dispossessed. Not impressive so far, the left-back for Greece.

This game is being dominated by the Czech midfield three as they probe down the right-flank again. Impressive so far.

Karagounis swings in another free-kick for Greece, headed clear before it can reach Samaras. The mighty Jiracek brings the ball clear.

After some delay, we are back in play. Greece have a new keeper, but their back line looks to be the problem!

Worries for Greece. Kostas Chalkias is injured and is leaving the pitch. Looks like a lower back problem.

Once more the left-flank looks vulnerable for Greece and Milan Baros is in behind this time. Papadopoulos covers well.

The Czech's pile on the pressure once more. Pilar, who looks ever threatening, cuts in off the left and strikes right-footed. Not far wide.

In the end it isn't Karagounis, rather the left-foot of Holevas. Rosicky clears before the ball even reaches the Czech area. Poor.

Greece snatched a 1-1 draw in the tournament's opening match with Poland, whilst Czech Republic fell to a 4-1 defeat to Russia.

This evening in Wroclaw sees Greece take on Czech Replubic in Group A with both teams having everything to play for.
