Now a mistake lets Shevchenko advance. He picks out Shelayev who fires his shot wildly over.

Into the last 10 minutes and has anyone in the Tunisia camp realise they need to score twice?

Voronin powers forward but delays his pass to Shevchenko for too long and it is cut out.

Trabelsi at least gets into the box, but his header goes straight at the keeper.

And finally, finally Tunisia have a forward. Santos reaplaces Chedli while Bouazizi cmes off for Ben Saada. But why did it take Lemerre so long to do anything?

Shevchenko, in the narrowest of gaps, evades Jaidi. He tries to do the same to Nafti and fails.

Well, it would be a real achievement for Ukraine, in the World Cup for the first time, to reach the last 16, even if they're not really doing so in style at the moment.

So will Tunisia bring on a striker now? And what does go on inside Roger Lemerre's head?

The penalty may have been soft - he could have tripped over his feet - but Ukraine haven't been as miserable as Tunisia, so they sort of deserve the lead.

Vorobey crosses and, at full stretch, Voronin just can't quite make contact.

Ukraine don't need to win. Tunisia do. Tunisia have no forwards on the pitch. This is utterly inexplicable.

Despite England's best efforts, this is a strong contender for worst game of the World Cup.

Jaidi does well again to disposssess Tymoschuk, who fouls him and is booked.

Good battle as Kalinichenko powers forward and Jaidi tracks him back to make a tackle.

The introduction of Vorobey is a sign Ukraine want to create more and win the game. Do Tunisia?

Kalinichenko slides in on the adventurous Trabelsi - not a description that could be applied to many in this game - but no free kick is given.

Ayari makes a rare foray forward, but it's a goal kick.

Boumnijel comes to claim a cross from Gusev.

It is Vorobey who comes on and Rebrov is the man removed by Blokhin.

A late flag halts Shevchenko after a decent move. That was debateable.

Ukraine are keen to make a change, which could be Vorobey, in a bid to make something happen.

Shevchenko beats the offside trap but misjudges the bounce. Jaidi is back to help out.

Namouchi has a very long-range shot which is rather easy for the Ukraine keeper.

Rebrov finds Voronin alone in attack. He battles manfully in a bid to keep the ball.

But the whistle goes straight away for a bit of pushing.

So what will Tunisia do now? They have no strikers as Ukraine kick off the second half.

Well the only real support for Jaziri so far has come from the right back Trabelsi. What are the five-man midfield doing?

Now Jaidi returns for Tunisia.

Jaziri finally gets a chance to run. Ukraine struggle to deal with him as finds Trabelsi. It's a decent cross but cleared at the back post.

Jaidi seems to have injured himself. No one's sure how, but he wanders off for treatment anyway.

Jaziri shoots on the turn and Tymoschuk blocks it. Perhaps, at long last, Tunisia have discovered some ambition.

Ayari takes it and it goes straight into the arms of Shovkovskiy, who has had very little else to do so far.

Now Trabelsi advances - can he bring Tunisia to life? Perhaps, Chedli gets a corner.

Really negative stuff from Tunisia. They need to win this game and seem to have no interest in doing that. Why?

Ukraine are starting to look good. Voronin finds Nesmachniy, who aims to cross it back to Voronin and the keeper really doesn't deal with it well.

Shevchenko reaches a long pass with a volley, but he doesn't properly connect and Boumnijel can gather.

Promising counter attack and Voronin draws a decent save from Bounijel from an acute angle. Rebrov was involved in the build-up.

It's all rather crowded in the centre of midfield so far. Both teams have three men in the middle and space is at a premium.
