Unam Pumas spurned the chance to reclaim top spot in the Apertura table after slumping to a 2-1 defeat at Puebla.

While victory would have been enough to take Unam above Guadalajara but instead they went two behind inside 24 minutes, with Alan Zamora and DaMarcus Beasley on target.

A red card for David Cabrera followed eight minutes before half-time and they were unable to add to Javier Cortes' 76th-minute goal.
