Nolan signs for West Ham

West Ham United have sealed the signing of Newcastle midfielder Kevin Nolan on a five-year contract for a fee believed to be worth up to £4 million.

The Hammers are also expected to sign former Bolton left-back Ricardo Gardner on Thursday.

It is thought West Ham will pay £3.5 million for the player with a £500,000 bonus if they win an immediate return to the top flight.
