Hugo Almeida agrees Besiktas deal

Portugal striker Hugo Almeida will leave Werder Bremen to join Besiktas for two millions euros.

Almeida, 26, will sign a three-and-a-half year contract with an annual salary of around 50,000 euros per week to join up with fellow countrymen Simao and Ricardo Quaresma.

He will also link up with ex-Real Madrid coach and former Germany international Bernd Schuster at the big-spending Istanbul club.
