Calderwood: Riordan an ideal captain for Hibs

Hibernian boss Colin Calderwood has defended his decision to appoint Derek Riordan as the club's new captain and insists the striker is the ideal man to spearhead his new era at Easter Road.



Riordan wore the armband in Hibs' 1-0 defeat to Dundee United, with previous skippers Chris Hogg and Kevin McBride not forcing their way into Calderwood's starting XI.
