Santos moved up to fourth in the Brazilian Campeonato with a 2-0 home win over Atletico Paranaense.

Maranhao opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, seconds after coming on as a substitute, and Ze Eduardo's penalty sealed the points three minutes later.

The win lifted Santos to within four points of third-placed Corinthians and seven of leaders Fluminense.

Ricardo Oliveira hit a hat-trick as Sao Paulo won 3-2 at basement boys Gremio Prudente.
