Silva admits timing of Spain friendly is 'not great'

David Silva admits his Spain call-up for next week's friendly against Mexico is not ideal as he looks to settle into the Manchester City squad.

Silva, part of Spain's World Cup-winning squad this summer, agreed a move from Valencia to Eastlands while in South Africa but has only just linked up with City after being given an extended break.

He could now face Valencia in Saturday's pre-season friendly at the City of Manchester Stadium but afterwards will have to return to Spain ...
