Cameroon chief denies Matthaus approach

Cameroon football chief Paul Biya insists he has not spoken to Lothar Matthaus about taking over as manager of the national team.

The former Germany captain, who has had spells in charge of Hungary, Red Bull Salzburg and Maccabi Netanya, has been linked with the role following the resignation of Paul Le Guen after a first-round exit at the World Cup.
