Middlesbrough complete £2m Thomson deal

Kevin Thomson has become the latest in a succession of SPL players to join Gordon Strachan at Middlesbrough, having completed his transfer on Friday.

Thomson, 25, has signed a four-year contract at the Riverside and joins the Championship club for a fee of £2 million. Rangers were willing to sell as Thomson had only 12 months left on his contract at the financially-troubled club.
