Aguirre quits Mexico job

Javier Aguirre has resigned as coach of Mexico following the team's failure to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup in South Africa.

Mexico finished second in Group A, ahead of hosts South Africa and 2006 finalists France, but their progress was halted in the second round when they were defeated 3-1 by Argentina.
