New St Pauli striker Gerald Asamoah insists no other side would have been able to lure him away from Schalke this summer.

Asamoah, 31, signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga newcomers on Tuesday and, although he says the decision to leave Gelsenkirchen was tough, it was made easier by his choice of destination.
