Nigerian forward dies during match in Sudan

Nigerian forward Endurance Idahor has died of a suspected heart attack while playing for Sudanese Premier League side El-Merreikh.

Reports suggest Idahor, 23, was unable to breathe after a tackle left him on his back 15 minutes into the match on Saturday. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

In a statement, the club announced: "We will assure that justice takes place."
