KANO, Nigeria -- It was a strange night in just about every way, but maybe that was to be expected for the United States in the opener of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

2009 U-17 World Cup

The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 13th edition of the event and will be held in Egypt from Oct. 24 to Nov. 16. All games will be aired live on the ESPN family of networks.
