Sunderland confirm Cattermole signing

Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Wigan's Lee Cattermole for an initial £6m.

New Black Cats boss Steve Bruce is a keen admirer of the England Under 21 international, having signed him for the Latics during his stint as manager at the club.

The combative midfielder began his career in the north east with Middlesbrough and is a product of their youth academy.
