Scottish side Livingston go into administration

An interim administrator has been appointed to take over at cash-strapped Livingston Football Club to bring "some stability" to the running of the Scottish First Division Club.

The club's landlords at Almondvale stadium, West Lothian Council, went to the Court of Session in Edinburgh after it failed to pay outstanding debts of £295,000.

Chairman Angelo Massone has been unable to halt the club's financial decline since heading a buy-out from Pearse Flynn last summer.
