MLS claims $10m payout for Beckham loan

Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber has revealed they have been paid the full $10m payout they wanted for the extension of David Beckham's loan to AC Milan.

There was much haggling over the deal, which was originally due to expire on March 9 before being renegotiated to run until July 1. Milan were reluctant to pay the asking price - which works out at around £7m - and it was thought a compromise had been reached.

But now Garber has insisted they have been paid $10m.
