League One Hartlepool sack manager Wilson

Hartlepool United have sacked boss Danny Wilson.

Chris Turner has been put in temporary charge of first-team duties at Victoria Park as well as carrying on with his role as director of sport.

Pools are unbeaten in four matches in Coca-Cola League One but slipped into the bottom half of the table following their 1-1 draw against strugglers Hereford on Saturday, which left them just seven points clear of the relegation zone.
