U.S. women's team member Osborne tears ACL

CHICAGO -- Leslie Osborne, a midfielder on the U.S. women's team, will miss the Olympics after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.

Osborne was hurt during practice at Carson, Calif., on Thursday, according to the U.S. Soccer Federation. She will have knee surgery in the next week and will have reconstructive ankle surgery in about a month.
