U.S. women beat China; Denmark upsets Germany

ALBUFEIRA, Portugal -- The United States routed China 4-0 Wednesday at the Algarve Cup, and Denmark upset Women's World Cup champion Germany 1-0 on the opening day of the tournament.

The five-time champion Americans got goals from Lindsay Tarpley, Tobin Heath, Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd in Group B.
