Lalas reveals Galaxy interest in free-agent Figo

LA Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas has confirmed he would love to pair David Beckham with Luis Figo in the MLS next season.

Figo - a former Real Madrid team-mate of Beckham's - recently rejected a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad and has also ruled out playing for another team in Europe, seemingly paving the way for a switch to the US.

Lalas told Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias: 'We know that Figo is on the market and we will follow the situation very carefully.
