Lahore tournament scrapped after visa problems

SINGAPORE, May 21 (Reuters) - Asia's soccer chiefs have been forced to postpone the annual President's Cup after teams were unable to obtain Pakistan visas in time.

The tournament, won by Kyrgyzstan's Dordoi-Dynamo in Malaysia last year had been due to take place in Lahore from May 17-27.

The Asian Football Confederation said on Monday it had to scrap those plans with new dates and a venue for the annual eight-team competition to be announced in the near future.
