CARSON, Calif. -- Quavas Kirk and Alan Gordon scored to give
the Los Angeles Galaxy a 2-0 victory over amateur squad Roma FC
Tuesday in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup soccer tournament.
The Galaxy, the tournament's defending champion, will face
either the Colorado Rapids or Real Salt Lake in the quarterfinals
Aug. 23.
Roma FC, an amateur team from Dallas, defeated two professional
teams in the previous two rounds before facing the Galaxy.
