A's owner interested in expansion team in San Jose

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The owner of the Oakland Athletics met with the commissioner of Major League Soccer to discuss investing in an expansion team to replace the San Jose Earthquakes.

A's owner Lew Wolff met with MLS Commissioner Don Garber on Thursday to discuss ways to revive a professional soccer team in Silicon Valley. The Earthquakes moved to Houston in December but the team's name and logo will stay in the San Francisco Bay area.
