Hanover 96 appoint Neururer in place of Lienen

FRANKFURT, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Bundesliga club Hanover 96 sacked coach Ewald Lienen on Wednesday and appointed Peter Neururer in his place.

Neururer, who left VfL Bochum following their relegation last season, has signed a contract running to 2007, Hanover said.

'I was too long without work,' Neururer told SID news agency. 'I was getting on my wife and the children's nerves.

'Playing golf and riding the motorbike doesn't fill a day. Football is my life.'
