FC United appoint first manager

Fledgling non-league outfit FC United of Manchester have appointed Karl Marginson as their first manager.

The 34-year-old former Rotherham and Macclesfield striker has been recruited because of his extensive experience of the local semi-professional scene and club organisers believe he can steer the new club out of the North West Counties Second Division at the first attempt.
