Mexico, USA get off to good starts

RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Mexico and the United States made flying starts to the final stage of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers by winning tricky away ties on Wednesday.

Midfielder Jaime Lozano scored twice in the first nine minutes as Mexico won 2-1 on Costa Rica's artificial pitch while the U.S. beat Trinidad & Tobago by the same score at the Queen's Park Oval cricket ground in Port of Spain.
