Besiktas punished after stabbing

ISTANBUL, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Besiktas have been ordered to play their next three home matches behind closed doors after a fan was stabbed to death during a match at their Inonu Stadium on Sunday.

Turkey's Football Federation imposed the punishment on the Istanbul club as part of a crackdown on hooliganism and lax security at matches.

"We will support and implement the decisions taken at the (federation) meeting to prevent stadium terror," said Besiktas chairman Yildirim Demiroren.
