Yartsev to stay despite 7-1 loss

MOSCOW, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Embattled Russia coach Georgy Yartsev vowed to stay in the job on Thursday despite a 7-1 drubbing by Portugal in their World Cup qualifier in Lisbon.

Yartsev, who left the bench minutes before the end of Wednesday's game after the home side's sixth goal, complained his players were not motivated and said he might resign.
