Decision to be made prior to game

ATHENS, Greece -- U.S. soccer captain Julie Foudy's sprained ankle showed signs of improvement Wednesday, though she remains a game-time decision for Thursday's gold medal game against Brazil.

``Julie's doing better,'' coach April Heinrichs said. ``We're real excited to see her walking.''

Heinrichs said Foudy no longer needed the crutches she'd been using since she was injured in the second half of Monday night's overtime win over Germany in the semifinals.
