Thai duo quit after N.Korea defeat

BANGKOK, June 16 (Reuters) - Thailand manager Tawatchai Sajjakul and head coach Carlos Roberto Carvalho have quit after the team's 4-1 defeat by North Korea in a World Cup qualifier last week.

'I feel sadness and regret because I love football and I have been trying to do my best, but I disappointed the Thai people. I need to be punished,' Tawatchai told reporters on Wednesday.
