Move made to accomdate Real Madrid

NEW YORK -- Major League Soccer has moved its All-Star game to July 31.

The game was originally scheduled for July 24. The game is expected to be at Foxboro, Mass., against Real Madrid, nine-time European Cup champions.

The decision to change the date was made after the league entered negotiations to have Real Madrid play the MLS All-Stars. The league's All-Star games have had several formats over the years, including MLS All-Stars vs. the U.S. national team.
