Pope lifts U.S. to last-minute win

DALLAS -- Eddie Pope scored in the last minute of stoppage time to lead the United States to a 1-0 win against Mexico at the Cotton Bowl on Wednesday in a friendly exhibition match.

Pope rebounded a missed shot by Taylor Twellman, and knocked in a shot from about five yards away to give the United States their sixth win in their last eight attempts against Mexico.
