Dalglish backs Darlo life bid

Liverpool and Scotland legend Kenny Dalglish is ready to add his weight to the bid to save Darlington.

Dalglish, a close friend of Quakers manager David Hodgson, admitted he would support the proposed takeover by the Sterling Consortium - with a place on the board a possibility.

But the former Liverpool, Blackburn and Newcastle manager insisted he would have no involvement with football matters.
