Fitzgerald led Bruins to 2002 NCAA title

TAMPA, Fla. -- UCLA men's soccer coach Tom Fitzgerald is returning to the University of Tampa, where he coached for nine seasons and led the program to national prominence.

Fitzgerald led Tampa to the NCAA Division II title in 1994 and had a record of 132-32-11 from 1987-95.

The 52-year-old Fitzgerald left Tampa to coach the Columbus Crew of the MLS. For the last two seasons, he has been the coach at UCLA, leading the Bruins to the NCAA title in 2002 and two Pac-10 championships.
