Gills have Kitson bid turned down

Gillingham player-manager Andy Hessenthaler has revealed he has had a bid for Cambridge United striker Dave Kitson turned down.

The Gills boss has been searching for a striker following the sale of Marlon King to Nottingham Forest and injuries to Tommy Johnson and Rod Wallace.
