Freitag replaces Hoosier coaching legend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Longtime assistant Mike Freitag was hired Tuesday as Indiana's men's soccer coach, replacing Jerry Yeagley, who won five NCAA championships during his 31 seasons at the school.

Freitag has been an assistant to Yeagley for 11 seasons, helping the Hoosiers to 10 regular-season Big Ten championships, seven conference tournament titles and two national championships.
